Visitors
You can browse DishOpolis without an account. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. We use a session cookie only when you log in. When you click a dish, we add one to that dish's click count (we don't keep a record of who clicked) so restaurants can see how many people visited them from DishOpolis.
Restaurant accounts
When a restaurant signs up we store the restaurant name, email address, password (encrypted, never readable by us), website or social link, street address and city, plus the photos and dish details it uploads.
- Shown publicly: restaurant name, website or social link, approved dish photos and dish details.
- Not shown publicly: email address, password, and street address.
We email restaurants about their account: confirming the email address, password resets, and photo approvals. We send email through a third-party email delivery service.
Your choices
Restaurants can update their details from their account page, or ask us to delete their account and photos by emailing admin@dishopolis.com.
